TOTT

It's Trick Or Treat Tuesday!

My Trick is this cool Mail Station idea that I came across today.
Make it out of wood magazine holder!
How nifty is that!

And My Treat are these fun projects I did with the kids today!
They LOVED it!

Caterpillar on a leaf:
Cut out leaf shape for the kids
(or have them cut it out following your sketch)
Cut edges to make shaggy.
Place dots of Glue on leaf and  stick on Pom Poms.
Add googly eyes and you have a fuzzy little friend!
You can do many learning activities with this craft.
Numbers, tracing, patterns, the list goes on!

For the Chrysalis:
Place a fuzzy friend  inside of tissue paper and roll it up!
Glue closed, and stick on to a tree drawing.

Simple and fun!

Oh don't worry about the butterfly thing up there. I's cool.

As we were making our Caterpillars, a show came on with bugs!  I thought it'd be cool. It wasn't. It was really creepy and horrible.
Have you ever heard of Dirt Girl World? We hadn't either.

TOTT

This is something super rad and amazingly cool I saw. Check out this sweetness:

So, I wanted to share that for this week. You cut the stem vertically so it is like a lot of little "straws". Then, you put each "straw" into a cup of coloured water.

The link is HERE.

I haven't tried it, but I want to! It looks SOOOO COOL!

AND... I have a fantasticly incredible trick for next week, so you just wait!!

Trick -or- Treat Tuesday

T.O.T.T. is more of just a treat today, not a trick. I sewed a skirt with a zipper! Are you impressed?
I wanted to share some pics with you, so that you could see!
It's definitely not sell worthy, and the stitches aren't straight, but it fits (well enough) and I'm proud of it.
Brec and I went to the craft store and bought fabric to make some different skirts, and then got home and started cutting only to find out we didn't get enough fabric. So! I made myself this skirt with the fabric instead.

I had to cut the zipper out of an old skirt I had in the D.I. bag, rip the seams and strip it clean of the other fabric, so I could sew it into my new skirt!
I wore it to church on Sunday and made Mike take some pictures of me, but I couldn't get them to upload onto my laptop, so I only have the cell phone pics to show you.

TRICK-OR-TREAT TUESDAY!

So, I bought some of these...

And then I did some of this...

To make this:

I love it.

I put some magnets up with nothing glued to them so I could stick things to them...bobby pins, tweezers, shirt flower pins.

Old Silk tie?

This is really fun and super cool looking!

Whatever Weekend

For my "WHATEVER WEEKEND" post today, I wanted to post a little tidbit of news that might interest my sisters!

Remember our bestie, Shannon Jefferson? Well, today Taiger went to Shannon's son's birthday party! Of course, I went, too, and got to visit with our good friend, Shannon. It was SO wonderful to see her after all these years. She is just as sweet and fun and wonderful as we all remember. :) Her mom, Renee, was there, too, and she was as much herself as Shannon was herself! They have neither one changed a bit, and it was like being among family to see them again.

Also at the party was one, Brandi Wilson! She was there with her fiance's little boy. I kid you not! It was like a walk right in to the past. Cody is married, Amber is living in Seattle (and IS, in fact, on facebook, BRYTTAN!)

Anyway, it was fun and I thought you would all be interested in hearing that we have the Jefferson's (although last name has been changed to protect identity...or because they are now married LOL) back in our lives. :) HAPPIEST DAY!

UNFORTUNATELY, my camera batteries died shortly after I arrived at the party. I was SO bummed. :( It died AS I took a picture with Shannon, so it didn't even save that picture. :( I didn't get a picture of Shannon's little boy, or her new baby boy, either...BUT, I DID manage to get a photo of her little girl. ;) What a CUTIE! (ALL three of her kids are absolutely darling, and oh so sweet!)

Oh! And Happy Easter!

Photo Book Friday: B #2

For "PHOTO BOOK FRIDAY" I had to post TWO pictures to get the full effect. :) Mr. T was tired, but did NOT want to go down to bed! He wanted to lay on the floor and watch basketball with NaiNai. But he was so tired! So, he pulled Eeyore onto him to "cover up", and fell fast asleep. It looked like Eeyore was giving him a big hug. :)

What picture will YOU post for Photo Book Friday?

TRICK-OR-TREAT From B 2!!

It's TRICK-OR-TREAT Tuesday! YAAAAAY!

Heeee.

(Maybe I am too excited for this? ;) )

Okay, EVERYONE knows bulk is better, right? It is usually cheaper, AND you are sure to have plenty on hand of the things you use most.

HOWEVER...

In the shower/bathtub, big bottles are a BIG annoyance! They don't balance well on the edge of the tub, they take up a ton of room, AND if they tip over and the lid isn't on tight, you can lose half a gallon of shampoo all over the floor before you come in the bathroom and see what is going on.

My TRICK for today is.... (da da da da da daaaaaa)

Okay, now OBVIOUSLY I don't mean to only buy small size! Like I said, BUYING BULK IS BETTER! But I put my shampoos, conditioners and bodywash into SMALLER bottles and store the big bottles in the cupboard and have the small ones out to use! It keeps things MUCH tidier, and I find myself MUCH less frustrated at bath or shower time. :)
